Remontada translates to ‘comeback’ in Spanish and is a common term in soccer used to describe a team that has overcome a large point deficit in a match. The name connotes an unexpected turn of events that ends in the team that is losing to win. It is similar to the idea of an ‘underdog’ in many sports. 

The idea of a ‘comeback’ or ‘underdog’ is perfect for what this podcast seeks to achieve–to find unexpected, yet successful, implementations of soccer and innovation. Our interviewees share inspiring stories of how they have transformed the world of soccer or their local community through the game of soccer.
